Description

This event is presented as part of the Programs for Teens and Adults program.

In this course, students will learn how to paint using underpainting and glazing techniques employed by great masters such as Titian, Van Eyck, Raphael and Vermeer.

The two primary methods of this process are the Grisaille technique and the Venetian technique, both of which involve a monochromatic understructure followed by layers of transparent glazes.

We will use oil paints in this meticulous, process-oriented method to achieve one to two stunning copies of work by some of the world's greatest masters of art.

The facilitator is Jeri Allison
