Description

This workshop will begin by looking at images of "super humans" and talking about the qualities that make a person super! Participants will then draw their own Super Hero or Super Shero, giving special attention to the clothes required to perform heroic deeds. Then the transformation will begin as students paint clothes, capes, and create papier maché masks, helmets, goggles, collars, armbands and such. The workshop will conclude by drawing a comic strip, starring...! Each participant must bring solid colored fabric (for a cape), and clothes suitable for painting on.

There is a minimum enrollment of ten (10) and a maximum enrollment of fifteen (15) for this workshop.

This class is designated for kids ages 7 to 12. Artists of all skill levels are welcome. We will meet in the Turchin Center Education Wing third floor classroom.

The cost is $60 for TCVA members and $80 for nonmembers. Registration is required.
