Description

Crank Up Antiques at this Year’s Engine Show High Country Crank-Up.

The Carolina Fly-Wheelers, a nonprofit historical organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of antique engines, tractors and early farm machinery, has planned multiple activities during the show’s three days. Enthusiasts will not only have the opportunity to watch demonstrations such as corn meal grinding, but will also be able to view many different engines, antique garden and farm tractors.

Snacks, homemade ice cream, will be available.

A children’s tractor pull race will be held in the morning, with prizes and trophies for the winners. An adult tractor parade will kick off at 2:00 p.m. featuring antique cars, jeeps and tractors.

All steam equipment must be state-inspected, and for those who wish to camp, primitive camping is available on the grounds, but there are no hookups.

Admission for adults for all three days is $8, a two-day pass is $6 and a single pass can be purchased for $4. On Friday, admission is $3 for senior citizens, and the show is free for children under 12.
