Watauga County Humane Society Pet Show

Bring your pets and join the fun. Raffle and t-shirt sales. Costumes on pets optional. Adult and children owner categories will be judged and ribbons awarded for all participants.

Come one, come all to the Boone Mall on Sunday, September 12th, and take part in the annual end-of-summer Watauga
Humane Society Pet Show. This is a free event, and fun for the entire family. Best
of all, every pet entered in the show is a winner.

The Pet Show is open to domesticated animals of all shapes and sizes: dogs, cats,
gerbils, rabbits, hamsters, etc. All dogs must be on a leash, and good common sense
should be used for appropriate control and containment of other animals. Ribbons
will once again be awarded in categories such as Waggiest Tail, Floppiest Ears,
Fluffiest Fur, Most Winning Smile, and Pet/Owner Look-Alike.

Registration begins at 2:30 pm, in the center court of Boone Mall. This year's show will also feature
a Pet Memorial Poster, on which to write in the name of a beloved pet which has
crossed the Rainbow Bridge. There will also be a raffle, with a variety of pet-
themed prizes. Watauga Humane Society tee shirts, magnets and decals will be
available for sale.

Since this event coincides with the humane society's Sunday Adoption Fair, a
selection of adoptable shelter animals will be on hand at the front of the mall for
your consideration. Perhaps one will steal your heart and find a forever home!
