Description

Join a park ranger for a guided wildflower walk in Grandfather Mountain State Park. Grandfather Mountain produces an amazing variety of wildflowers, which change from week to week, so join us throughout the season to experience the changes! This program will have little to no walking - all experience levels welcome. Perfect for someone who does not want a long hike and still see a lot of wildflowers. We will see the early spring wildflowers of rich and acidic coves.

Hike Length and Difficulty:
Very little walking, easy terrain; uneven and often muddy.

Wear closed-toe, walking shoes, dress in layers for the weather and prepare to be outside. Water and snacks recommended. You may bring field guides, cameras, binoculars. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and please leave pets at home.
